The final blog

I think it was getting the game done. We worked hard to get this done. I think I struggled with flash the most it was vey hard to get that done. I liked that we got to work in groups. I would tell them to work hard and get it over with and don't fool around. I liked presenting our game it was very intersting and fun.

Practice Presentation

I am worried that we might not have our whole game done. We are getting a lot done every day though so we might be able to get it done. It is very hard putting our scenes in order and that's whats holding us up. We can't get anymore done until we get that done. We are almost done with all of our scenes. We still have to add sound to our game. I think we will do fine on our Practice Presentation. We are learning a lot of stuff and getting a lot done. Our hole team is doing their best to get this done. It has been really frustrating to get this game done.

We have accomplished most of our game demo skelton. We hope to finish the rest of it by the end of this week. We have uploaded some sound effects for our game but we still need to put them on. The hardest part is doing the timeline. Everyone is working hard to get our goals done.

This Weeks Progress

From all the work we did last week, we finished the main points of our goals. We finished the primary game scene, intro scene, and the team introduction. We have worked really hard the last to days to get all of the scenes perfect. We finished the main scenes, then we started to add a new scene. For next week our new goals are to add as many scenes as we can so we will be ready for the game demo presentation. Next week we will try to work really hard and get all of this stuff done. Our team is working hard to get everything perfect. I think that someone could try more is just me and Caleb doing all the work. Bur we still get done on everything we need to get done. We always try to help him but he doesn't care. I want to get all the scenes done and finished. Adding more scenes to the game demo is another goal. I want to learn more about the timeline.

Game Demo Presentation

The last two days assembling our game demo has not been to bad but very slow it is taking a long time. I think the hard thing is flash. Trying to get the timeline done is really challenging. We have accomplished putting the Intro Scene in, the Team Introduction, and Primary game scene. I think my team and I are accomplishing more about flash and how to do stuff on it. The easy part was putting scenes on to the Game Demo. The hardest part is trying to do the timeline. I believe that only two of our team members is doing anything. The third one is just sitting there doing nothing. Our plans are to add more scenes to our Game Demo. I want to at least half way finished by the end of the week.

Working in Flash/Game Demo Progress

In the last two weeks we have been working in flash. It has been really hard at times. I have learned a lot from it. I understand how to add the buttons and add navigation's to the game. I do not think I know anuff to work on my own about this stuff. I'm still learning how to do stuff. I am still trying to get my buttons to work right when I hit test movie. I think if I get some help I could finish it. I think the things that are hard to do on flash are the time lines and the key frames. When you just make a little mistake that game demo is messed up. I think I need to get something fixed on the actions window. I think when I find out how to do the right thing I will get it down.

Adding Sound to Game

I learned how to put sounds and songs on flash. We plan on adding sounds such as umpire yelling, fans cheering, a baseball hitting a bat and Take Me OUT To The Ball Game. These sounds will make the game much better. It will make it more interesting and something to listen to while you are playing the game. I think its important because it will make the game much better and more fun. When I play baseball or football games you can hear the crowd yelling and the announcer talking.

Game Demo Skeleton

I think it really helped me find out what we need to do. I learned about how to make new scenes. I also learned how to add layers. I thought it was hard but easy and fun. It was confusing and kinda fun. I learned how to put things on the timeline. Also create things in flash. I think I could remember everything we did most of it was easy and fun but there was a couple of hard parts that I do not think I could remember.

Adding Sounds

The importance of a sound in a game is it make it interesting and fun. It makes the game more exiting. I have played games about baseball and the sound makes it so much better. Our game will have sound such as the crowd yelling and the sound of the bat hitting the ball. The sound could also say OUT or SAVE. It has the song "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" or other sounds like that. Songs and sounds make the game a lot better.

Drawing in flash

I am in TEAM BLACK. We are doing our topic on baseball. If you get a question right you get to go to first and you keep going until you hit a home run. If you get the question wrong you have to try again. It was fun drawing in flash and seeing all the the things you can do. My tea has learned how to make our game better and look better to.

I got the role manger of team black. I think I am good at this role because Caleb says I am a good manager. The team page was kinda boring but we got through it without a problem. I look forward to make this game because baseball is my favorite sport and it looks reaaly fun. Our inspiration was the challenges of baseball.

Paper prototyping Reflection

This past week we have been working in our groups and getting ready to make our videos. We have worked on all our pages and worked very hard. It was a little challenging but it got easier it was fun making the video and getting it done.

Team Expectation

Our teams name is Team BLACK. Caleb had a really good idea. There is going to be problems that the player has to solve. The more equations the person solves the further he gets. You have to solve problems on volume. There is a time limit on each problem. I am the team manger and the designer. The code expert and the artist is Caleb. The sound and graphic person is Hunter. That the further you get questions right the more you keep going on. Yes we all agreed it would be good and fun. The good artist is Caleb. The people who are good at recourse's are me and Hunter. The person who is good at flash is Caleb.

Game Idea Reflection

I learned to use flash by changing the font of words. I also learn how to change colors on the flash. I also learned how to use the actions window. We type about our game and how we are wanting to use it. I'm exited about learning how to make a game and make it in groups. The action window is where you put the codes and make the stuff move up and down.

Games we play

Sometimes I play games in my free time only when I'm bored. I like the sport games because I like plpaying sports and I think they are the best. They are a little a like. Only when it keeps scores because in baseball games it keeps scores to. They are both fun but the baseball one is better because I like baseball.

Mini Game project

The mini game was fun our teachers helped us a lot with everything. We messed up on some stuff but we got through it. I was a day behind but it was really easy to catch up. It got easier and easier when we moved on. when we messed up on something it was very easy to fix and really fast.Typing stuff into the Action Scrip was the only thing that was confusing. Testing the game was very easy and helpful. All the layers are really easy. The action window was really easy.

Intro Flash

I think this is going to be hard. It looks confusing. But it might be very fun. You have to draw something and sketch and do different things on a piece of paper. I think it's going to take awhile but it will be worth it. The flash is something that looks like it is standing in front of something. You have to add layers to it. I think it's going to be confusing but fun.

Social Issue Review

Yesterday during class we wrote about what we think about West Virginia. Like the prices of things in West Virginia. Also the high cost of living in West Virginia. We also wrote about the environment, health, poverty, and Education in West Virginia. The Bullying is a big part in West Virginia. We also talked about Drugs, teen pregnancy and social networking in West Virginia. In West Virginia there are pourable not very many teen moms around West Virginia. There are pourable a lot of bullying in West Virginia. There is bullying everywhere not just here. The games that we played has to do with social life. There is good health care in West Virginia we are not the best but we aren't the worst either. I do not think there is a lot of drugs in West Virginia. It's not to bad.

Games

I liked the games called bullseye because you shoot a bow and try to hit the target. You try to find the angle so you can hit the target. I liked everything about it but it was kinda boring. It could have been much better. This link for this game is Bullseye.

Globiloria week 2

The things I think was hard was uploading pictures. It was very hard and confusing. Downloading videos was not that hard it wasn't real easy though. the past week has been fun. We have uploaded pictures on our wiki. It was a little confusing. We got to pick a picture and put it on there. The videos was very fun. I enjoyed downloading the videos the most.
